Our Work - Initiative
Peace & Development
We transform lives through our proven violence prevention and intervention model, Acuerdo de Paz, designed for high-risk environments. Initiatives such as the Racial Equity and Healthy Masculinity Roundtable and La Tribu: Nuevos Comienzos are part of our work to build safer communities and reaffirm our commitment to fostering a culture of peace grounded in a vision of sustainable development.

We work alongside communities as they organize and mobilize for peace, equity, and sustainable development. We work to dismantle racist structures that perpetuate cycles of poverty and intergenerational violence affecting Black youth.

Peace Agreement
Taller Salud’s flagship, evidence-based initiative has helped reduce violence in Loíza in response to the calls of women who have lost husbands, children, and loved ones to violence. Through our violence prevention and intervention model, our Loíza-based team and community members serve as agents of peace, transforming the beliefs, behaviors, and community norms that perpetuate violence as a means of resolving conflict.
The Tribu: New Beginnings
Taller Salud brings together young people from Loíza to develop the advocacy skills they need to advance restorative and juvenile justice. Through training, these emerging leaders are equipped to confront and challenge systemic racism, social inequities, and other issues that matter to them.
Racial Equity & Healthy Masculinity Roundtable
We engage Black youth and men in developing campaigns and taking action to raise awareness about racial justice and to envision and practice healthier forms of masculinity.
